Time blindness is one of the most misunderstood parts of ADHD. It isn’t about caring less or trying less hard—it’s a real difference in how the brain senses time passing. Neurotypical brains get a steady internal signal that time is moving. ADHD brains often don’t get that signal until a deadline is already close.
The fix isn’t more willpower. It’s making time visible externally: large visible clocks instead of a phone screen, timers for anything that matters, and calendar blocks with real buffer instead of back-to-back estimates.
